Staying Organized: Storing Your Password and Notes

C-Organizer Professional

As a webmaster for many years, I’ve gone through several methods of storing my online password, notes, and other odds & ends. Eventually I discovered freeware software and had different programs for storing everything. It got a little dusty and clutter on my computer, opening up ‘My Documents’ just to find information I needed and having my task bar full of icons and open programs.

I decided I needed something, anything to save me from having to deal with so much cluster muck. I came across a program called C-Organizer. They have a trial period and I took full advantage of it. Within 30 days I moved over to their Professional version and even purchased a second copy for my ADHD husband, who by the way needed this program 29 years ago when he was born. It is jam packed with features that every webmaster needs. On top of that, it has network database sharing – my computers share one database and you can even sync it to your PPC or Palm.

Basically this program can track your appointments, tasks with popup reminders, address book details, passwords, notes, and special events. You can even password protect your databases, you don’t have to worry about a sneak finding your data and even create multiple databases if needed and switch between them with a click. My favorite feature is the password keeper. I can easily click on my C-Org and store the link, name of website, username, password, and any additional information.

I’ve been using this program for close to 2 years now and they have provided me discounts on my multiple purchases too (drop them an e-mail). If you want to stay organized, I recommended checking out C-Organizer Professional (or Standard too). They have a free trial just for this purpose!
