As a webmaster, we have to fill out millions (at least it feels like a million sometimes) of online web forms. Last month I found this handy little FireFox addon, InFormEnter, which allows you to select from pre-entered information into your web forms. It is very simple and comes with a lot of configurations. You won’t have to load another program either and it is always available. Plus it is free!
1. Unlimited profiles

Without this option, the tool would not be worth it! You can have unlimited profiles. For example you can have one per website you own and than one for your personal contact information.
2. Enter and save information easily

Just enter your website and other information easily, one per line. You can create, edit, and delete your profiles easily here too.
3. Enable/Disable on the status bar

On your firefox status bar, you can have the InFormEnter icon where you can easily enable/disable the addon. This is configurable to also appear in your Tools menu.
4. Easily select information to enter into forms

When InFormEnter is enabled, you can easily click on the icon that will appear next to forms and enter your saved data.
5. Change profiles quickly

If you need to change profiles, click on the status bar icon and you can select another profile quickly.
This tool has been a great help, especially when submitting my websites to online web directories and signing up for new services. There is even an option to generate passwords for you too and a lot of other configurations to customize the way you use this simple form filler.

I use informenter and it is really useful for filling out all those forms for different things like directories. I would definitely recommend this to everyone too.
I’ve only been using it a short time, but it has been really handy little tool.
I like InFormEnter a lot and used it after reading this article but it stopped working since I upgraded to Firefox 3. Apparently it’s not compatible. I wish I hadn’t upgraded especially now that we are launching an international IT Jobs and Recruitment site and I need to list it in a few directories. Now I have to type everything by hand
