Help Put an End to PageRank Obsession

Help Put an End to PageRank Obsession

I usually don’t participate in link rings because I don’t see them as benefiting my readers, but a new one about PageRank obsession makes a lot of sense to me. Webmasters often obsess about their Google PageRank, especially right before an update which is expect at the end of July. I must admit I do my fair share of obsession with the subject. Dean over at DeanHunt.com wants us to start spreading the word to help other webmasters remember to get on with your “real life” and focus on more important things, such as building high quality content for your visitors and readers.

If you feel the same way, than you should join in on this PageRank Obession awarness and spread the word to other webmasters. All you have to do is copy the list below and post it on your website or blog. Then email Dean at contact@deanhunt.com and he will update his list regularly. As this spreads your website will be mentioned on hundreds, perhaps even thousands of sites.

Quick Steps to Join In

I totally agree with this post! I am absolutely all for writing for your human visitor rather than writing for a computer robot. Of course we are all concerned with SEO, but it has its proper place. It’s important for everyone not to get OBSESSED with it.

All I hear left and right, right about now (no pun intended), is PageRank craze! Every single forum I visit, no matter the subject is going on and on. Hopefully we can all chill out and get some work done. :c)

I was not interested in PR either and thought it to be stupid. But then I started using Text Link Ads and get some revenue from there. And imagine I could earn more if I had some serious PR. I already got more than with adsense and will work my way up to more revenue from the system. And yes, now I work on my PR too. A lot I might say. Not something to die for, but when you get money for putting a link on your site depending on PR, you start thinking more about this :D

I’m pretty darn interested to see what my PR will be after this update! Especially since I only started this site last month, so it will be neat to see what my efforts have brought me. I will survive if I get just at least a PR1 for now!
