Contest Around the Blogsphere

Contest Around the Blogsphere

Since my group writing project ends today at 12 m PST (don’t forget to send me your entries by tonight), I thought I’d spend my day today entering a few other contest from around the blogsphere. There are so many contests out there, but I would have to turn this blog into a blog that blogs about contests in order to blog about them all. I think I broke a blogging rule in that last sentence by including the word ‘blog’ to many times. So here are the following contest that I’ve decided to enter and hopefully they don’t mind that I’ve grouped them in one post.

Win over $470 worth of advertising from CristianR

CristrianR is offering 470 dollars up for grabs through his blog contest. There are 3 ways to enter: subscribe through e-mail, comment, or link to his contest. It is pretty simple and the prizes are great with a blog review or a banner ad on his blog. There are a lot of contests now offering up ad space as prizes including my group writing project.

Win more advertising from Rhys

First Rhys was nice enough to call me a black sheep, thanks! Secondly, his new contest is about a counting coins in a jar. He features a few pictures in order to give you the feeling that there is a chance in heck you actually know how much is in there from just looking at the photos. I have no idea, but here is my guess is 570ps. The prizes are free advertising on his blog, I’m personally going for the adicons because I think they are really cool.

1TB hard drive is up for grabs at SiteFever

This is going to be a fun contest for John at SiteFever. Basically you need to post why you would need a 1TB harddrive and who ever writes the most interesting post will get the prize! What would I do with the prize? I think I would store all my family pictures and backup items on it so that if my main harddrive crashes everything would be saved on an external one. boring I know!

Become a better blogger at JohnCow

I give up and will admit JohnCow just has some really good contests and the latest one again is just cool. Prizes include SEO Book and some other really cool stuff for bloggers including a subscription to Blogging Mastermind. I want the SEO Book, I feel like if I win it than I was meant to have it. So here I am again entering another contest for it, this will be my 6th I think.

I know it is tough with so many contests! They are fun too. I can see why there are just blogs about contests with so many of them.

@YC: I like the ones that have a lot of stuff for bloggers!

    Thanks for the linky love!

I do agree there’s a bit of a contest craze going on atm, I’m doing it to keep people interested in my blog whilst I am away on my travels, should be interesting to see how many entries I get (At the moment there’s only 3, so you may get the Adicon after all! :P)

@Felix: Yes there is a contest craze, but I think it makes blogsphere fun if you don’t go too overboard.

@Rhys: You had a jar in your contest, how could I avoid that! I feel terrible that I didn’t get you a post while you were gone, but it just mismatched with the ending of the group writing project. :c(
